So I am 21, and my mom moniters everything I do. I cant have a private phone conversation, because she says that its "evil" She gets very touchy if I am in a relationship, cause in her eyes no one should even hold my hand, cause that could lead to "dirty" things. She has destroyed a lot of my past relationships and friendships because of this crazy behavior. She thinks everyone is out to get her, and she told me to my face that she is jealous of me. But yet again she does not want me to ever leave. I feel like it is hopeless, I have already tried several things, but she listens to no one.

u are a big girl now.ts time for u to move on with ur life.t seems ur mom has serious problems.try to talk with her about this.but not when u are still in her house.move by yourself.make her feel that u are missing and then try to talk with her.i bet she had a bad experience when she was younger.how about ur dad?
tell her she cant keep things from happening.this is life.we need to live it.if she accepts with ur decision fine if not tell her u want ur own life.

It sounds like your mother is pretty controlling and obsessive and needs some professional help. Maybe you should try talking to a doctor or psychologist about the way she is acting.

wow!! i'm sorry to hear that. there is no simple or easy fix for what you're going through. is it possible for you to be on your own? i would start making plan. you're still young; there are lots of things you want to do. i just feel sorry for your mom. it sounds like she needs to get out more.

Time to move out and get a life of your own. You're not going to change her; it's your only option.

Move out of your parents' house. If you continue living there then you are keeping yourself in the "child" role.
