Yeah there is a button to split a file into two at a point (bottom right, just below screen), so do this at the start of the chorus, then get the new file which will have the chorus as its start and split it at the end of the chorus.

If I understand the question, you want to bring part of a song into movie maker. Easier would be to cut the song before you bring it into movie maker. Use the Sound Recorder program (Accessories > Entertainment) to open the song file. Cut out the part you want (or cut off what you do not want). Save the file under a new name. Import the new file into movie maker and do whatever you want with it in there.
