I'm wondering what the Beatles were doing for the first two weeks of April 1970, as I want to refer to them in a play I'm writing set at that time. Thanks.

Paul McCartney publicly announced the break-up on 10 April 1970, a week before releasing his first solo album, McCartney, pre-release copies of which included a press-release with a self-written interview explaining the end of The Beatles and his hopes about the future. On 8 May 1970, the Spector-produced version of Get Back was released as Let It Be, followed by the documentary film of the same name. The Beatles' partnership was legally dissolved after McCartney filed a lawsuit on 31 December 1970.

The Beatles had broken up by then....Paul was working on his solo album. BTW....he played every instrument on that album. John( bless his soul), was working on his solo album with Yoko,and the Plastic Ono Band...BTW...a great album...very rare. He aimed all his ill feelings towards Paul on this album. George was working on his solo album..."All Things Must Pass",and probably getting ready to perform at Madison Square Garden with Ringo, and a great host of others to do the benefit for Bangla Desh. I can say that was a great show, I had like 4th row seats. The others were Eric Clapton, Leon Russel, Bob Dylan, Ravi Shankar...just to name a few.

They were putting the finishing touches to their final album I believe - but by then they were hardly speaking to each other and had started a long legal battle with Apple Corps.
John was getting embroiled with Yoko, Paul was quitting the group.
