What is to much freedom?

Food intake I do agree many Americans take in more then they burn off. I am not on of those personally. That is called choice.

Firearms- That one is a double edged sword for lack of words. Knowing that a persons home has a good chance to get you shot would you want to break into it? On another side if for example a country decides to attack America on land they would have to fight the military and even more civilians.

I would agree the Laws should be upheld better for Violent crimes, make them more severe. Yes some people should not have firearms, at this time though there is no 100% way to block the bad people from getting them since they ( those which cannot purchase firearms from gun shops) will find them via Black Market.

There is no such thing as to much freedom. And, by the way, to by a gun in any state you have to go through a background check. There is no danger involved. As for the large helpings of food, you have the freedom to eat any where you like.

everyone should be free to do as they wish. i dont think there is such a thing as too much freedom. it all comes down to survival of the fittest. if people want to eat so much that they kill themselves, let them! if they want to do drugs till they die from them, let them! its called free will. no one else should have the right to tell me how to live my life. i agree americans eat and drink way too much but it is their choice. it is up to the individual to have self control. when someone else starts to control your life where do you draw the line? when is it enough? i dont want someone saying that i cant eat foods that i know are bad for me, or that i cant own a gun, or that i cant stand in traffic like an idiot. it is up to me to decide these things for myself. its called freedom! as for gun control, there is no sense to it. guns dont kill people, people kill people. a pencil isnt going to write a book, it takes a person holding that pencil to write the book. if we take away the guns only the criminals will have guns because they know how to get them illegally. that would make this country a very dangerous place to live. if we go with gun control where do we stop? someone will say knives are dangerous, lets take them away, then someone will say that screwdrivers can be used as a weapon, lets take those away, soon all we will be left with is a paper clip and a rubber band, but... on second thought we cant have that either because a paper clip and a rubber band can be a lethal weapon in the hands of someone with malicious intent. you have to control your own life, not become a robot with other people controling your every move and making your world safe for you. take control and responsibility for your own life. take control.

The only place that I can think of where you wouldn't have access to a lot of things harmful to you would be Antarctica.

If you want to avoid the things you don't like, don't move to America. And no, I don't think that Americans have too much freedom.

I think Americans abuse their freedom, and often don't even understand it.
Too many Americans think the 'right to bear arms' means they should be able to carry guns without any government regulation or interference. Guns should necessarily be registered and regulated for public safety. However, Americans do have the Constitutional "right to bear arms' against an oppressive and tyrannical government (something that is way past due!).
Too many Americans think 'freedom of speech' means they can use whatever vulgar, offensive language they wish without any regard to others' feelings. 'Freedom of speech' gives us the Constitutional 'right' to speak out against an oppressive and tyrannical government without fear of retribution.
Too many Americans think 'freedom of the press' means we can publish any kind of filth, demented sexual content, violent films, or corruptive information we damn well please. 'Freedom of the press' was intended to allow the citizenry access to all government information. The Fourth Estate was supposed to be the watchdog for the population, keeping the three branches of government in check so that we didn't end up with an oppressive and tyrannical government.
Unfortunately, we've abused our freedoms to the extent that we now live in a virtual police state, controlled by an oppressive and tyrannical government that is paranoid of its people, that manipulates its press, and that stifles free speech.
Our forefathers came here to avoid taxation without representation, religious persecution, and oppressive government. We have now returned to taxation without representation, religious persecution, and oppressive government - and most Americans don't even see that as troublesome (as long as they can cuss when they want, watch sex-drenched movies at will, and gun down anyone that gets in their way). -RKO-

Theres no such thing as "too much freedom"
Personally, I dont think there is enough freedom.

People just need to be intelligent enough to balance between things and make the right decisions.

My favorite restaurant serves 3 types of creme brulee on one platter. Now, that's freedom!
