well that sucks! Sorry to hear your health probs are complicated by financial stress. I just happened to think of submitting short stories to different mags--they actually pay quite well for "guest" writers. More detail would be nice--like just how much will you be disabled? I'm disabled, but on good days I could (if I chose to) go into the temp place & get a days work. Will you be mobile? What skills do you have? Are you living with someone else who can put a roof over your head & food on the table?

You don't say why you don't qualify for disability...short term or long term. I would assume that you don't qualify because you're either part time, you just started working for the company and aren't entitled to benefits yet, or your company doesn't carry disability. Reasons for not being eligible for unemployment vary as well, but I would guess it's because you haven't worked long enough to earn any unemployment. You should try calling your local welfare department and find out what benefits might be available to you. I've been in your situation and it's tough. Especially if you're single and have no children. You may be entitled to food stamps too. You can find these things online (go to your state's website and follow the links). Good luck to you and a speedy recovery!

Hi,
I work for a company out of home that is doing well for me. I won't rant and rave about it but I will tell you it's not a survey company, or a blog entry company, it's not even a company where you have to sell products. This is an honest home-based business that is easy. Email me at wellness-manager@hotmail.com if you want more info. I could give you a link to their website but I would rather show you and let you watch an online presentation so that you can see what a great company this is. I would love to help you help yourself.

Well first off, I can only assume that you are referring to the goverment disability programs when you state you don't "qualify".

Because if you have insurance through your work, depending on what carrier, you don't have to "qualify" in a sense (I mean you have to have proof as to why it's need), you just have to have it as part of your "plan" or benefits. I don' t know if you have insurance through your work, but if you do, check into it.

Otherwise, check with your community.

You can contact your church and see if they have a program to help. You can apply for food stamps. There may be programs in your state to help you. You should contact your hospital and see if they have any suggestions. This is a hard question to answer...many people go through things like this without any help. I'll be praying for you.

Good luck. Maybe if you're mobile you can babysit or sell things online or who knows.
