I would tend to go with "it's yellow because of urine." I don't know that it's necessarily "bad" for you unless you eat it or get it on you, but I don't normally eat snow anyway... ;)

Where does the yellow come from? Snowflakes are naturally white, so how would it become yellow?

Someone has emptied themself on snow that may or may not have been safe beforehand.....in that case it is now toxic (i think).
