I'm American, btw, and I once asked "Aren't Asian babies sooo CUTE?" because I think they ARE. BOY, was I ripped to shreds about how I was a racist & that ALL babies are cute, shame on me, etc, etc. I've noticed you guys get it, too, from the PC Police. Do you think we've become TOO overly-sensitive about ensuring equality amongst all?

yes i think we as a society have created a false racism and everyone thinks everything is about racism now, face it we are all different and sometimes we have to refer to one another according to their race, but that dose not make it racist

They are too PC. Any comment over a race it's considered racist. Once there was a question saying that Hispanic women have children out of wedlock more than any other race. He had that story from an article CityJournal that has a reputable reputation. I'm Hispanic and I don't think it was racist but the others were blasting him with insults. I've seen that pattern in my community and think there is some truth to it. People are becoming too PC.

No, it's not that America has gotten too PC: people are afraid to make observations because the observations they make, if not worded correctly, may shed a little light on how they really feel ... and nobody wants to be exposed as a racist.

Yes, it is a shame that w ehave to be so careful what we say. I hate being so PC. I actually am a racist against stupid people!!
As to babies, I happen to be one that does NOT think ALL babies are cute. I have seen cute babies grow up to be ugly adults, and vice versa.
But you are so right.....we are so afraid of stating our opinions. And opinions are different from needless HATFUL remarks.

I just think people need to stop generalizing people by their racial status anyway. Noone wants to hear about how bad they are because of this or that. People just need to chill. on the other hand, it was'nt racist for you to say that because asian babies ARE cute! if anything it should have been taken as a complement. don't you just love their eyes?!

Yes. We have become so overly-sensitive that we all but given away our freedom of speech. It is sad. I think that it is nice that you feel Asian babies are cute. So are black babies, white babies, hispanic babies...etc....and that should never be racist to make anyone feel better about themselves or their children.

I agree, your comment did not warrant the remarks that you received. A positive remark should not have been critisized that way. I don't like the hate filled comments or remarks that are designed to belittle others. There is a difference.
