If she is in pain, give her a pain reliever. I like Children's Motrin, because it lasts a long time. If you think she might have some gas pain, try Hyland's Colic tablets. They are an all natural product that dissolve instantly in their mouth. The Mylacon drops didn't work for my kids, but these worked wonders! Check Walgreen's or CVS. Also as a heads up, the Hyland's teething tablets are fabulous, too.

There are infant massages you can do to help with constipation and gas, but if she has vomiting and diarrhea, then I'm not sure if they will help. The simplest massage is to lay the baby down facing you. Rub her belly in a CLOCKWISE motion. You never want to rub a baby's belly counter-clockwise because it will mess up their digestive track. Anyway, rub about 10 circles and then bring the baby's knees to her chest and hold for a few seconds. Repeat both steps. This will help break up and release any gas she has. Good luck. I hope she feels better soon.

Ofcourse child birth will be painful, just like many things we can and can't experience. However we can't measure them, really. Some painful things we can't experience without dying, and other pains we can;t experience due to it being impossible due to our biology. As for your link, I am very skeptical about it. I can't take it seriously. All we have is their word that it is "exactly" or very close to the pain of labor. To make this an accurate test, they should of put two men and two women (or just one woman) on the machine aswell. This way we could make an accurate conclusion by basing how the woman reacts, comparing it to how women in labor react to see if the compare, then comparing the woman on the machine's experience with the men on the machine's experience.

I wouldn't give any medicine, just plenty of water. Look in your local pharmacy/grocery store for water specially formulated for infants and toddlers. Give her water until it washes everything out, and do everything to keep her entertained (walking around with her, bouncing, cuddling, watching TV, etc).
I know it's heartbreaking to see her like this. My son was diagnosed with acid reflux at the age of 3 weeks, and I know what it's like to see the little body arching in pain. Good luck, hope she feels better soon!

I have four boys and im 11 weeks pregnant, ive learnt when they have gas, to lay them on their backs and GENTLY push their legs up to their tummy to help them relieve the gas pressure. they actually felt good when i was doing it, they even smiled lol. Try it. another good thing i found out is lay a pillow across your lap and lay them on your back and rub their tummy in a circle while moving your legs up and down slowly. These two things always did wonders for our boys...Goodluck :)

my sister-n-law had this problem. try setting your baby in your lap with her back to you. then bring your arm under her legs and place your hand on her stomach. lift her up facing downward and sway her back and forth just remember to support her head by placing your other hand under her chin. i don't know why this works but it did for her.

Try putting dry washcloth in the microwave for 1 minute and place it over her onsie. The nurses at Children's Hospital did this for my preemie son when he was really gassy.
