Why does everybody go straight to medication? Go to wal-mart. Ask the pharmacist where the teething tablets are. They are not medicated!!! They will help soften your baby's gums and releive the soreness. They come in a pink and purple box and are all natural. completely safe to use.

It's a problem your pediatrician or health care provider should answer. But I can tell you that waking up 6 times a night is not good for either you or your baby.

Two things come to mind about feeding babies, if that is truly the problem:
1. Perhaps you're not giving the baby enough formula at each feeding. As they age, they can take in more formula and they should sleep longer between feedings.
2. Tell your health care adviser the exact formula you are giving the baby. Maybe it needs to be strengthened,
3, If the baby is teething, painful gums and/or,
at times, gas makes a baby cry. Not all crying is for food.
The problem needs correcting. Do it as soon as you can.

At this age 1 dropper full of Infant Tylenol will help, and use Hyland's Teething tablets. It may also be that he is going through another growth spurt and may need more food. Most doctors recommend starting on rice cereal at 6 months. Call his doctor to confirm....and NEVER put the cereal in his bottle....it can be a choking hazard.

They have a product called Baby Bliss Gripe Water. You might want to give that a try. It's a natural product for baby's that does wonders with no side effects. It's hard to find though. Not sold everywhere, but you can go to their website and find out where it is sold in your area. Trust me, it's better than Tylenol and almost instant gratification for the baby.

I had the same problem with my son. He would drink a full bottle every 1-2 hours. I asked my doctor what to do, and he said the poor kid is hungry, feed him. So I started adding a little cereal to his formula, and it worked. He began sleeping through the night.

I had this issue with my son. He was always hungry. Against my doctors wishes, I gave him a little baby cereal before bed. I didn't make it very thick, but it filled him up and he slept longer. My mom did the same thing with my brother. Talk to your doctor and see what they think, but some doctors will actually recommend it.

Maybe he is in pain so give him Tylenol for kids, but you can also give him some warm milk with honey or some natural apple juice with milk, then he would sleep all night long.
