I don't think so. However you could try to contact designers to do their project and you would get paid for stitching the project for them. I know of a few people that do that for designers. Good luck.

Unfortunately, with needlework like cross-stitch there is no way you can get the money you actually "deserve" for doing a piece. There are just too many hours put into it. Since someone commissioned it from you, don't you have to give them an idea of what it costs before you get started? Because of that, you would have to get an idea of how much the matting (best to use double matting) and framing will cost - it's more than framing a plain picture because they have to do the stretching of the piece, use acid-free materials, special spacers so the piece is kept away from the glass, etc. The person wanting it may want to have a specific molding chosen for the frame, too. The last piece I had framed - the pic. was 8 by 10, and I think it was framed to 14 by 16, and was 150. Now for your work - with most crafts in general, you would double the price of the materials. That would make the above piece $450. No one would pay that, no matter how beautiful it was. So it's you who has to make a judgement call, on the overall piece. It really is a piece of artwork, so it is up to you, the artist, to judge. Tough one.....

It would be really hard to. I have even tried at craft fairs with small pieces and items. There are just so many hours that go into each piece, there is no way to make money at it - and no way people could afford them because the price would seem astronomical.
I make pieces for family and friends as gifts.

I would love to, but with two kids under two years, I would never have the time. Maybe a few people working together on several projects at a time might be an easier way, but I don't think one person would be able to do it on their own.

I doubt it would be viable - I worked out that I would have to sell mine for about £600.00 each and I could not see anyone paying that much,
