I meet men every day. Not bragging, but I am a pretty good catch. I even had a woman hit on me but I have no interest in that direction. My point is that for some reason, I can only bring myself to have lunch or coffee with a potential mate. Anything more than that doesn't intice me. I can go to movies and concerts alone and be very happy. It has been six months. Any suggestions or words of wisdom?

Hmmm, six months is not really that long after a divorce to start dating, but everyone is different. Has it been 6 months since the divorce was finalized or 6 months since you split up? And the longer the relationship/marriage was, the harder it is to let go and start over. Just do what makes you comfortable and let yourself know that i can take time, sometimes 1-2 years. Just dont cheat yourself out of real happiness because there is someone good out there for you who you deserve and will deserve you and you will be very happy. Good Luck!

It really depends on the individual. Some want the relationship soon after the divorce, and some want no part of a new relationship for fear of getting hurt again. I want the relationship, but know I am not ready for it yet. Then again, for all intents and purposes, my marriage was over soon after it started. If your happy just dating then don't worry about it. You will know in your heart and your head when the time is right to get into a new relationship.

Just relax and enjoy your singleness for now. When the time is ripe, the partner to knock you off your feet will come along and make your current status even look more wonderful. His presence will light up your environment.
Meanwhile, try reading around what makes a relationship work and other things. It helps to prepare you for the next one and makes you come to terms with what cause the divorce and how to ensure it doesn't occur again.
Enjoy your life...you were created to do so.

After ending a relationship it is sometimes a good thing to not jump right back into things. Maybe you need to get to know yourself a little better and figure out what it is that you truely want. When the right guy comes into the picture you won't have to ask yourself this question. You will just do know.

Dating is over-rated in some respects. I found that I don't want to just jump into dating but wanted to expand my social circle of friends first. Dating will come when you are ready for it. Just get out and meet new people and do new things. Life is worth living. Good luck

I have none, when you are ready you will know. I did the coffee thing for a year before I went to a movie or dinner with another man. I wasn't comfortable. When its suppose to happen it will. Enjoy yourself you might need more alone time than you think. Embrace it its a wonderful thing!!
