I have some ivory satin shoes to dye burgundy. There is a dye available for satin shoes specifically but not in the colour I want. I looked on the internet for tips as to how to go about it & didn't find a consistant idea. Has anyone got any useful tips please? I've got the dylon multidye powder in the disc that you mix with water but have a distant memory as to the quantities being different from the instructions.

I have dyed shoes for so long, some two and three times, but never have I used a shoe dye. I use Rit Dye and according to the color I make various strengths, boil water in old pot, add dye and literally dip shoe, in and quickly out. I have never had a bad one yet I even taped across the front of my shoe and did a multi color. Front down, in and out, quickly.

you should call the Payless shop and notice. i comprehend they could dye those you purchase from them interior the shop, yet i do no longer comprehend approximately those bought on line. you'll be able to desire to call another shoe & bridal shops on your section & ask in the event that they dye shoes that weren't bought there. some will, even nevertheless it may desire to value a splash you as much as $15 according to pair. they're going to choose a gown or swatch to flow via for the colour, yet bear in techniques that shade is subjective, so what they think of suits, you will possibly no longer. Ask them to dye a swatch so which you will examine and approve in the past they dye each and all the shoes.

A pretty much fail proof way to get what you want is to have the dying done by a professional, or at least someone who has done it before. Payless Shoe Source will dye certain shoes they sail and most cobblers (not sure of their modern name) can still dye your other shoes. Good luck either way you go though!

Try contacting a bridal shop - they will probably be able to recommend a company that can dye shoes as they will have experience for bridesmaids shoes. I personally wouldn't try it myself.
