My selection is none other than VII's Cloud Strife.
Not only did he defeat the worst villain to face the Final Fantasy series, but he conquered the demons within himself. He's a character that a lot of people can relate to.

No way! Cid! Cid has been in practically every Final Fantasy game since Final Fantasy 2! Although, he's rarely the same character I still look for him in every version. Cid's the best!

either orlandu from tactics or edgar from vi. orlandu is just 200 pounds of solid asskick, and edgar isn't that bad either with his tools plus he hits on any chick out there.
