There is nothing wrong with Ohio, but you shouldn't go badmouthing other states. We're not better than them.

It's always correct to say your opinion is your opinion, but in this case your opinion doesn't matter. Your question can be answered through factual information through research. The following web site will show you some statists, and one thing it shows is that OHIO is actually 34th on the "smartest state" list, with New York at the 16th place and West Virginia at only the 37th place, imagine that only 3 places under Ohio. Also noting that Virginia is coming in at the 6th "smartest state". Facts are facts, work it out....

NO WAY!!!!!!!!! I lived in Ohio from birth until I was 24, then my husband and our family moved to Tennessee. I am SO glad that we did. Ohio is a very uppity state, everyone thinks they are better than everyone else, you proved that point. As far as smarts, that depends on the person, there are MANY stupid people in Ohio. School systems are not that good.
We love Tennessee and will NEVER move back to Ohio.
Have you ever wondered why Kentucky hasn't just fallen into Tennessee? Because Ohio sucks so much!!!!!!

You live in Ohio and you say this? I honestly dont see how youve come to these conclusions...ive lived in Cleveland all my life and as far as quality goes theres very little. Smart people? Have you driven down the highways lately, been to a bank? Trust me people here are not any smarter then anywhere else maybe they just seem that way because they have to be more tolerant of ignorance.
Imnot really trying to bad mouth Ohioans or anything its just Ive seen way too much here (in Ohio) to agree.

Well, I don't know where you live in Ohio but I don't see smart people, great quality of life or beauty. Take a stroll wherever it is that you live in the downtown area, here in Dayton its sad...nothing but empty office buildings, homeless and crime. WHAT BEAUTY HUH? And why hate on New York or Michigan or the VIrginias? What the hell did they do to you? There far nicer than Ohio.

I like Ohio but some places aren't all that great there. And some places in Michigan might be better. I don't know if you've ever been everywhere in the United States, but I feel I can safely say that you can't go around trash talkin' other places.

Ohio can't be the best state... they didn't actually become a State legally until the 1950s when they found out they screwed it up the first time... congress tried to "fix" it with an ex-post facto law... but ex-post facto laws are specifically prohibited by the constitution... so constitutionally they STILL may not be a State.

I live in Ohio as well and even though I am a big Buckeyes fan i have to disagree with you, I think are crime rates have gotten much higher and even though I live in a rather small town things have gotten worse there too we have had Many Many unsolved homicides lately and its scary and people every where are different we have smart people and and our equal share of dummies we have beautiful nice towns and horrible scary ones just like everyone else sorry that's just how I feel about it!

I disagree, no state is better than any other state, there are pros and cons for living in each state and everyone has the right to their own opinion. I have lived in Pennsylvania and I miss the 4 seasons, I live in TEXAS now, and we don't get a chance to see 4 seasons!

Sure, if you want to be overtaxed and overpay for housing.
Have you ever been anywhere else? I used to live in Ohio. Lived there for 24 years and the only reason I would ever go back is because my family is still there.
And there are plenty of idiots there, too.
I am currently in Alabama, used to live in Texas and have been to about 38 states. There are good and bad about them all.
