FREE! Try asking around. Many people buy larger beds for their growing children and are willing to give the bed away. Look for ads in your local paper or college paper. Another place that you might inquire is the local library (campus or off-campus). The people there sometimes know of great deals! Many of these folks are local, too! Good luck. (I used to give furniture away to college people...better than trashing good stuff!)

Depends on if your buying new or used...if used ask about the mileage...especailly around a campus. I would imagine that most used ones have high mileage.

You can get a really nice twin at Costco for $99.00. The quality at that price is better than anywhere else.

Depends if you want to sleep on it or screw on it, you only get what you pay for, so a cheap and nasty one will not last too long.
