We can sit all day and wonder about alien geniuses, magicians, head in bottles, etc... The fact remains that the universe came into being somehow, life formed on various planets, and now we have these brains that can come up with crazy ideas with no relevance to reality. Until we can literally drive ourselves crazy with abstractions.
When I see a skeleton of a dead dog and then one of a dead human, I see no divine purpose in the larger one while the smaller one is simply animal. We are all accidents.

We may never know. To say God does exist would seem as if I really know, but I really don't know. We will never have true knowledge. But I do believe there is a divine force that connects us all. As I said we will never know if this is true or not. It is a mystery that doesn't want to be known. No we are not just a big experiment.

Your mere presence is proof enough that GOD/LIFE exists. GOD is the Unmoved/Mover. The Alpha and The Omega. The Hot and the Cold of it. The Love and the Hate of it. We are all made up of the same stuff....Didn't you listen to Einstein or Darwin? E=MC2 and the Theory of Evolution? They ARE right. The Big Bang Was Right. This whole Life is PURE SCIENCE.
The Budda knew it, The Kirishna knew it, The Jesus Christ knew it. "The Father and I are ONE." There is not but one of us! There is nothing Separate from us. We are all pure ENERGY.

Without proof, its just fanciful thinking. To say that the bible says so is not proof. To look at the sunset, butterflies, and complex human organisms is not proof. To say that there is intelligent design to the universe or mankind can't explain why there were over 15 hominids that didn't make it, most notably the Neandertals. What are we, the new and improved models?
What of the diseases, parasites, child rape, predations, and existence of evil in the world?
It reminds me of the movie "The God's Must Be Crazy," where an African Tribesman finds a Coke bottle in the desert. I find parallels between his thinking and the modern day Theist very similar...."hmmm, bottle fall from heaven, must be God," and "hmmm, look at the beautiful sunsets, birds, complex human oranisms, must be God." Both are explaining one unknown with another, but proving nothing.
But, alas, there's a scientific reason for our belief in god using CAVE MAN logic, it's in our genes. To survive in a hostile environment, our ancestors developed a god to believe in, to give them succor in time of peril and to cushion them from the despairing future of their utter death and annihilation.

I'm a Christian chap... so it's obvious what i think on that. Although i have to say i respect people of other religions more than Atheists, however wierd that religion may be. A person that thinks that an 8-armed elephant man gives us rain is more intelligent than a person who believes that we came from a bang. But i bleieve in one God, one creation all with one purpose.

We are what we are, we'll never know why. But it's not our place to ask why, how or when; we need to focus on the here and the now to solve the problems plaguing humanity. Forget about religion, if there is a god, he clearly isn't doing anything to help us. If the big bang occurred, so what? What difference does it make?

Does God not exist? Is everything we are and know just a random mistake of cosmic proportions? Did we evolve from oozing rock soup, sprout legs, then evolve with eyes that see and hearts that feel?

No. There definitely is a creator. You wouldn't be here today if there wasn't. He created all of us and the entire universe and there's nothing greater than Him. There is no way that all this came together by chance.
