I don't think you can make a sweeping statement about a genre like that. Yes alot of it is reliant on synthesizers and drum machines but then there is alot of R&B thats is simply a person with a guitar, piano, and drums. I think alot of rock is the same way. some good talented musicians out there and then some no talent people with producers behind them.

All music from all genres takes time, effort and skill to produce. Music snobbery is just idiotic. It's like saying that a symphony is more difficult to write than some crap with a guitar and a set of drums. You could also argue that some classical music is superior because it has lasted over 200 years, a claim unlikely to be matched by most rock music.

At the end of the day it's what you like. If Dragonforce does it for you, good for you. Some people would rather watch a rapper shouting about his hoes, 26" platinum wheels, and how much the diamonds in his teeth cost. To each their own.

I love R&B and so what if I dont get your 10 points. I think its ignorant of people to say another genre of music is talentless just because you dont like it. I hate country music, but I think there are some great country singers. I hate rock, AGAIN, great singers. Maybe you're the talentless one!!

Some, but there have been some exceptions to this rule lately. Check out Jon Legend's new CD, Monica or even Jamie Foxx.

if you dont like them then they are(for you alone)
any genre of music, no matter how it's done does not matter as much as the passion in making it. it's an expression of one's individuality & that will never & should never be considered junk.
