walking under a ladder, opening an umbrella inside the house just to spite the superstitious people around you?Did anything bad actually ever happen?
I have done this serveral times....and nothings happened....... touchwood ;)

Do unlucky things all the time, Wishful. Used to work in a framing shop, and had to smash the offcut mirror pieces into a bin. If I was to get seven years bad luck for every mirror I'd ever smashed, the next 3000 generations of my family are right up the creek!

Watch for slivers when you touch wood.
If some one is wooking on a ladder something could fall on you.
If you open an umbrella inside you could poke some one or some thing.
These are not superstions just good sense.

In ancient times people used superstition to explain bad events that happened to them. I know that they have meanings but so much time has passed that they have been lost along the way. I have done many of those things as well without bad results.

I do these kinda things all the time... Its funny when people try to stop me! The other day I was shopping for umbrellas with my girlfriend... I must have opened like 10 of them, she was going nuts!

i have, nothing happend... except for that time i walked under the ladder and a knife stabbed me in the shoulder from out of the sky and one time i crossed paths with a black cat and then got hit by a bicycle

When i was 11 i went to thorpe park with my friend she walk across 3 drains and fell down the third!!! since then i have been very superstious

Me too, nothing happened either. And all them stupid chain letters that are going around - "If you don't send this out in 5 mins then you'll die"........well im still here!
