Usually the same way you find everything else- Google or word of mouth.
There are different types of game sites, ones for cheats, ones for news & reviews, ones with actual games you can play, ones with ROMs of console games for download, etc. All can be found through search engines like Google and Yahoo. Simply enter search terms in the search engine, and it will display pages with those terms. If you don't find what you're looking for, try something else until you do.
Sometimes you need to find things indirectly. Say you can't find a code for a game. You might search more generally for a good code site, then poke around that site for your code.
There are also more advanced searches that can be done that can help you find more, faster. Here's a good place to learn about more advanced searching:
