I have 14 rabbits in an outside barn.... I've been putting hay in their cages for them to burrow down into, but what else can i do to help keep them warm? Our high for the day is supposed to be 49 with a low in the 20s. I would bring them in the house, but my mom is allergic to them... What should i do? Please help! Serious answers only please!

It sounds as if you are doing a lot. Does each cage have a wooden nest box? That could be lined with hay and give them som extra protection from the elements as would putting a blanket around the cage. Here is a link with some other tips:

I wonder if you could bring them indoors and leave them in a space where your Mom doesn't go? leave the hay outside as that is what bothers many people's allergies.

get some hot water bottle and put them in the sleeping area under a blanket. I think that would help. And rabbits do better in the cold than the heat, so remember that in the summer too. Do make sure their water is not frozen. You can also buy a heating pad at petsmart (seen em) and it is one you microwave and stays warm up to 12 hours. And if the bunnies are all together I am sure they will help keep eachother warm.

I have rabbits too, and although i can bring mine inside i have also bought a 'hutch hugger' and 'hutch snuggler' which fits perfectly to the hutch and velcos round. It is specially made to retain heat and keep out any chills. Also make sure the hutches are raised off the ground to prevent the cold coming up through the hutch from the ground and line the bottom with lots of layers of newspapers, as this will help to retain the heat too. Aswell as lots and lots of hay, i always put some old blankets/towels in aswell for them to snuggle up to. And as mentioned before if you can let them snuggle up together that would provide them with more heat.

Can you put an electric portable heater for them in the barn?

Can you drape old blankers over their cages?

Maybe put a tent over their cages to keep their body heat in with them - let them huddle together

YOU SEEM TO BE DOING IT ALL THE OTHER ANSWER IS A GOOD ONE, WITH THE BLANKETS AND CARPETS. YOUR NOT SAYING IF THEY ARE IN SEPARATE CAGES, IF YOU HAVE CAGES BIG ENOUGH WHY NOT PUT SOME OF THEM TO-GETHER, THEY ARE MAMMALS AND BODY WARMTH IS ALWAYS GOOD. BUT I WOULD MAKE SURE THAT YOU PUT THE MALES WITH THE MALES AND THE FEMALES WITH THE FEMALES OR THEY MIGHT END UP WITH ALOT MORE BODY WARMTH
