The majority of Americans agree with the war and are conservative, but the Republicans did a lousy job of defending their interests so the voters let them have it. The Republicans will get back congress by 2010 after the Democrats fall flat on their butts trying to govern. Heck, they're already going back on their campaign promises by saying they're not going to enact one of the recommendations of the Hamilton/Baker report.

his congressional lackeys will no longer be his congressional lackeys, but ex-lackeys. hye was given whatever he wanted for six years, many times without allowing anyone, even republicans, to read what he wanted passed, and others that only his republican congressmen were allowed to participoate in while democrats were not even allowed to question.
the most critcal legislation his congress passed was the patriot act. NO congressman was allowed to even see the legislation, let alone read it, including his own party members, before it became law. there have been many such laws passed that were passed without the democrats being allowed to read them, and a few which just republican participation. also, the republicans would hold open a vote until they had enough votes for it to pass, even into the early morning hours such as three and four am.
now that he will face a democratic majority in both houses, he can expect to NOT get what he wants without the dems really getting into the effects and provblems his legislation will cause. had he had a democratic congress before, the patriot act would have been openly discussed, and not passed sight unseen. his ability to pass legislation will be up to his ability to meet with, and not force congressional actions without discussion

Bush is not partisan. Political parties are merely an illusion, because THIS secret and evil group has been in control of everything for far too long!...
