My friends really never need any cheering up. But recently I've been trying to cheer up this one friend I have online in Polls & Surveys who seems pretty down and out. She's been asking alot of sad questions and wants us to say something that might make her smile. I wish she could be a little happier. If she only knew there were others in far away places who roam the pages of Polls & Surveys with her who care about her, maybe she'd cheer up a bit!!!!!! Do you know who she is?

Shold i really be honest here? I think i should.
I do not have many friends and lately i am always the one doing the cheering up. These days if the can't cheer me up i just don't talk to them.

How can you cheer-up someone else when your not cheerful yourself? Is it not being a "fake" if you do?

without a doubt. Sometimes by providing that support and cheer, you end up helping to lift your own spirits as well.

Tried that and it backfired. I had a friend cut himself and try to bash his own head open at a party of mine. I chased him down to the nearby park and tried to cheer him up. He ended up feeling better after he made me feel miserable through loads of insults... ^_^

I sure do try, but I fear I am not the best at doing so. Maybe it is the gesture that does the trick. Just letting them know you care.
