I suppose that people like this are necessary to remind us of the prejudice in the world. Many AIDS victims are children, I'm sure we can find a way to blame them, or the women who are exposed by their cheating husbands; this should be prosecuted as attempted murder. AIDS makes the Bubonic Plague look like a common cold, if the world does not come together to fight it; We Are Doomed!

That really is a stupid question. No I am not a liberal, but if you are trying to put liberals down I would recommend actually saying something intelligent. Good day.

I had to come back after reading your past q&a. You have so much time on your hands to ask biased questions that you obviously don't want real answers to. I wonder what good you could accomplish in this world if you actually got off of your duff and did something. So much hate for the liberals and democrats and yet you stand on a "Yahoo Answers" soapbox, proudly and not very intelligently proclaiming your political views. How about running for office and making the improvments you desire yourself or at least finding a more appropriate forum for your drabble?

I know you think you're being funny-but you could use a bit of the energy you use being nasty and mean-spirited to read a bit. This is what the US could do here if they wanted to negotiate drug prices.

NY Times story today: With the financial backing of a group of nations led by France, former President Clinton announced Thursday that his foundation had negotiated deeply reduced prices for 19 AIDS drugs to treat children, halving the cost of the simplest-to-use therapy - three drugs combined in a single pill - to less than $60 a year for each boy and girl.

The countries - France, Brazil, Britain, Norway and Chile - are putting up $35 million to buy antiretroviral drugs and diagnostic tests to treat 100,000 more children in 40 nations next year. Most of the money was raised through taxes on airline tickets, a dedicated revenue source suited to ensuring the lifelong treatment of children with AIDS.

The Clinton Foundation, which has established a record of lowering AIDS drug prices in recent years, negotiated on the countries' behalf, using their pooled purchasing power to get volume discounts on the drugs.

No. Liberals are too sensitive to this crisis to refer to it as "Happy". We prefer to use this day to promote public awareness - and in my case, to contribute to stamping out this threat. Conservatives who still think this is a "gay plague" are obviously oblivious to the real crisis and to what it is doing to the children of the world. How could anyone think God is punishing them for their sins?

Why would we? And don't you think there are more than a few HIV positive people out there with conservative views? If you want to support the conservative movement try thinking before you talk.
