Sure, Homosexuals can deny the "urge" to sleep with people of the same sex, but they can't help who they love and are attracted to. It kills me when people say that homosexuals choose to love people of the same sex. They no more chose that than I chose to love men. As far as a cure, that's about the dumbest thing I've ever heard. For those who feel it's a choice, what do you think homosexuals should do? Hide in hetero relationships or just not be with anyone at all?

Homosexuality is not a disease - It cannot be 'cured' anymore than heterosexuality can be cured... Sexuality is a normal and healthy part of the psyche and biology of every human being. On the other hand it -is- possible to cure people of homophobia, but it takes a long time and the patient has to sincerely desire to become a mature member of a whole, healthy and human society.

I Dont think so cured for who you or the person who doesnt like the fact that you are homosexual

I do not think it is a disease to be honest, nor do I believe it is a genetic abnormality. It is a conscience decision on the part of the homosexual themself. I think it is absurd to say that you cannot control you urge to have intercourse with someone of the same sex. People refrain from having sexual relations with the oppsite sex all the time. It is a conscience decision that is made. Yes there are animals in nature that have homosexual relations as a part of everyday life, however, I consider myself to be more progressive thinking and above their level. I can control my urges, where they cannot which is why it is refered to as animal instinct. In all honesty though, what someone does in their own bedroom is not any of my concern and therefore I do not need to know about it. That goes for homosexuals and heterosexuals. I do not wish to be dragged viserally into either one's sexual encounters. I enjoy my own enough to not need that sort of stimuli.Everyone should focus on their own oddities and leave everyone else alone. No one is perfect.

Technically any behavior can be changed. Heck, HETEROSEXUALITY could be "cured" if someone wanted to be that irresponsible as a therapist. Changing core personality traits is pretty much akin to brainwashing though, and not recommended.

If you EVER tried to harm me with your "cure" I would spit in your face. How damn offensive. My life is perfectly fine now.
Why don't you go try to cure your bigotry, that's our problem.

I wish! life would be so much easier that way. I can't help but feel such a strong attraction to the same sex, and it tears my heart in two because I'm married to a really great man! He is accepting, and understanding, and knows that a part of me will always feel this way. It is a big mess, and one I'd love to be without. For many, I'm sure that it is not a disease that needs curing. and of course it isn't. But some days....It would be nice to give my hubby all of my heart, but I find the idea of falling in love with a woman very appealing.

I wish there was a cure for hatred, bigotry, and ignorance though.

The Bible in Romans 1:27-32 explains the origin of homosexuality: the rejection of God and the worship of Idols.
Because men turned their back to God to mind their own business, God gave them up to this evil lifestyle.
To worship God is to consecrate a life to seek for godliness, for purity, for honesty, for righteousness... the man who lives that way is pleasant to God and works towards God's plan of making the earth a better place to live before inheriting eternal life.
To worship idols is to live only for the satisfaction of the body needs, to live for material: the food, the clothes, the house, the country, the race, the women or the men without regards to God's will. This kind of lifestyle defiles the life, it corrupts the life and turns it into a harmful power, the opposition to God also called the devil. His mission is to gather all the dirt of the earth and to oppose it against God in order to be destroyed.
The common sense tells us that a group of Gays or of lesbians living only by themselves is meant to die and to vanish because they can not procreate.
The Gays and lesbians can multiply only by infecting normal people with their disease.
To be cured from the disease, one solution: to worship God using the name of Jesus(practicing the Gospel). To stay strong, resolute, to persevere in the Christian lifestyle in order to be free of the devilish mind that controls sinners.
Many have been saved using this solution, it should work out for anyone who is genuine towards God.
