Absolutely they have meanings and yes, I often remember them. I think for the most part I can find a link between what I dream about and something I saw, thought, or spoke about in the last 24 hours..and I find that they are related in some way. In this, I find the meaning of the dream. I do also think that we dream when we are worried about something and it's a good way to determine exactly how much a particular issue is truly bothering us. They can have an impact on real life because they mostly are about it..and disturbing recurrent dreams come from somewhere..and it is probably in some way linked to your real life...perhaps to an event that you brain has interpreted as traumatic enough to turn into a dream. Of course, it goes without saying that dreams can be far more 'outerworldy' and vivid than real life..we tend to overdramatize in them..so one should take this into account when trying to interprete them. Dreams can have a serious impact on your life if you allow them to..especially if they are disturbing and you cannot figure out why you are having them.

Hi there. The problem with reading meanings into dreams is that we are all now fully aware of Freud, so the subject is corrupted before we even start. Also, it is hard to find an individual with that level of repression these days! Dreams come in diferent types, too, from plain entertaining ones to "real life" role play to downright weird.
At several points in my life I have had strong deja vu and relived a dream. I have one or two dreams in my mind now that I expect to be happening some time, so this is not just an after the fact phenomenon. I take them to mean that i am on the right track in some way, no matter how bad things get, so the outcome on my real life is definite.
Cheers, Steve.

Absolutely. Dreams are messages from your deeper mind, and the things you dream about, usually pertain to the most significant 'issue' in your life at the time in question. Often they can be predictions of future events. They can warn you about certain things. They can advise you on the best course of action. They can give you reassurances if you are worried.
Here is an example: last Christmas, I was feeling very low on social confidence. I had been invited out on a boozey night of nightclubbing with some of the boys where I work. I said I would go along, but privately, I was very worried about not feeling confident, being a shrinking violet, and ending up feeling humiliated and coming home with my tail between my legs.
However, 4 nights before I was due to go out with them I had an inspiring dream. I was in the nightclub in question, with the people I would be going out with. I dreamt we were dancing the conga around the disco room. I was romancing a rather glorious girl and was anything BUT a shrinking violet. In the background, I could hear a snippet of a song lyric: 'Saturday Night' by Whigfield (sad I know, but it was pretty relevant!) the part of the song which goes " It's party time..... "
My dream was telling me there was no need to be worried. I would go out on 'Saturday Night' and it would be 'party time.' That is exactly what happened. I went out expecting nigh-on humiliation, but came home the following morning, having had a splendid night out, having romanced a glorious girl, and feeling positively glowing!
I have many other examples where a dream has been spot-on. If I want to know how a major issue is going to happen, or if I need advice on something, I simply 'ask' my deeper mind to give me a dream. Before sleep, I repeat the words: TONIGHT I DREAM, AND I REMEMBER MY DREAM about 100 times, giving my deeper mind instructions. It always responds. I keep a pen and notepad beside my bed so that I can write down what I have dreamt about, and then analyse it later on.

How long is a piece of string?
Yes, they all have meanings, subjective ones to the person who's having them.
Yes, they can have an outcome in life. They can drive you to distraction whilst trying to find meanings and the so-called 'truths' about them, and even tip you over the edge whilst you chase the illusive answers you seek.
A dream of a white horse, for example, can mean whatever the subject means to you ~ even if it is some deeply obscure resonant one ~ freedom ~ growth ~ being in harness ~ capture ~ sexual power ~ being in training ~ brutality ~ performance ~ rigorous long hours ~ loyalty ~ heavy loads to pull ~ and so on and so on.
It depends upon who is doing the dreaming and the (obviously) Why you mind takes up that particular symbolism to wave in your face.
Your dream, you chose.

The short answer is absolutely NONONONONO and NO
again.
They are just the brain doing maintenance on the hard drive. like any computer garbage in = garbage out!
Some would like to say that they can be interpreted which means there ARE supernatural forces at work (A VERY VERY SMALL PERCENTAGE OF THE TIME PERHAPS), and therefore GOD exists and people have souls and there is life after death and and and......Do I believe all dreams are meaningless no, but I do believe that ALL people who make their livings trying to interpret your dreams for You, that includes PRIESTS PSYCHIATRISTS and FORTUNE TELLERS, are at best unqualified, and probably rogues after your money or life.

the thing about dreams is that it is almost magical. some people say that dreams may represent your innermost desires. some say that they are a form of premonition, depending on what time these dreams occur. some say that dreams are just thoughts that you have been holding for a long time in your head. and it is only when something similar occur in real life, there is that sense of de ja vu. so we can never really know. but well, enjoy your dreams!~`

My dreams tend to reflect what is going on in my life, but in a surreal way. Sometimes they contain things that have had quite a bit of prominence in my life, and other times it can be something that I thought about for a millisecond. I don't know if they can directly affect your real life, but they can certainly make me consider situations from a new perspective.

Yes, they have meanings, most of the times we remember our dreams.
However, they are not the outcome of real life, they are merely the reflection of real life

It is said that this life is but a dream. How true is it. If we want to separate dream state from reality then surely reality is something that is changeless, and the dream world constantly changes.
