No, her point seems to be that only those who are in the most terrible circumstances can have a life-saving event out of a single $1,000 check. Think about it. In the USA, that's maybe one month's rent if you're lucky. No food, no other expenses, even gas & electric, just rent.
So having the opportunity to pay as little as $1,000 to change someone's life is about donating that kind of money to a charity that will use it to buy medicine or food or housing in a place far away where housing is enough cheaper.
But if someone gave me $1,000 with the stipulation that I had to give it to someone else, and not keep it, I would not expect it to be but a drop in the bucket. I'd give it all to a single person, knowing it was not life-changing, but just hanging on a bit longer until some other opportunity presented itself.
I would also deeply resent the person who imposed the stipulation that I could not use it for my own survival. It's a mind-bending kind of question, when you look at it.

wishful thinking.. she should give most of us a grand, not like she can't spare it.. if she just does one person i will be pist cause what about that year she bought all those cars for people, sh*t she could give like 500 people 1,000 and still be one of the people on the top 5 forbes..and she will only be out what? $500,000....i think if not i'm sure you could do the math..lol
