Dear All. I am upgrading the email server, currently running on Red Hat Linux release 7.1 and Qmail 1.03. The desktop client runs on Microsoft Outlook with each user have their personal folder (xxxx.pst). The proposed upgrade is the latest version of Linux and Qmail. It will eliminate the client based where users will access email on the web based.

While web-based email seems like the way to go, some users may want to backup their email. A personal folder.pst takes care of this and also offloads email from the server. I myself have several .pst files; regardless of being in a Micrsoft Exchange environment. Your ROI may not be so great unless you are providing a way for users to keep past e-mails.
