I worked in UK from 2002 to 2005 earning well over 6000 GBP per month as a sex worker. I made my fortune and left UK. I never paid a penny in tax and whats more the government was not interested in me paying tax. they seemed to think earning money that way is the same as not earning at all.

Is it worth insisting on paying tax?
