It doesn't say much about your parents that they have both called you insulting names, instead of gently telling you that they don't approve of the way you dress.
Maybe the cami was cut too low, or the jeans were too tight, or any number of things. Or he may just be stuck in another fashion era, and doesn't like the current styles, which (to be fair) are bit over the top for most parents to accept on their child. Even though you are 16, your parents probably still see you as their little girl. So it's hard for them to accept that you are growing up, and dressing sexier than they would want you to. Most teens go through similar things with their parents, even though yours expressed their feelings in the wrong way.
Anyway, since both of your parents object to the way you dress, it's time to sit down and talk to them about what is acceptable according to them. While you shouldn't completely change who you are just to suit them, you may want to tone it down a bit to keep the arguments and insults to a minimum. You don't want another 2 years (or however long you'll be living with them) of them treating you like this. After that, you'll be on your own and can dress however you want.
Maybe go on line with them to your favorite stores, and let them tell you what they like, and don't like, about the current styles and fashions. Then you would have a good basis of their ideas the next time you go shopping.

Maybe he is uncomfortable with the way you dress. Regardless if you think it is slutty looking or not, he probably saw that cami=skin showing. Talk to him, but don't be angry until you learn how to see it from a parent's point of view. Dads are protective. Calling you names isn't right.. but I don't know him so I can't make a judgment call. Good Luck.

Your Dad sound like a horrible person or a retard (no disrespect intented). This is not slutty @ all. You don't have to take anything on your conscience. Btw, who calls their daughter a ****. I mean comeon! even if you feel that there is something like this, you sit down and try to explain yourself calmly instead of saying obscenities like this to your daughter.
You should have a serious talk with him and try to explain your point of view and maybe thena conclusion can be reached between you both, which is beneficial for all involved.
Hope everything works out good for you...

Then you were probably wearing clothes that revealed you somehow. He wouldn't call you a s.lut for no reason. My dad was the same way, although he didn't use that word. He just told me to wear something more appropriate and not so revealing. And he's telling you that for a reason. Whether you know what the reason is or not...it'll come to you in your own time.

His coice of words could have been picked a little better, but I'm sure it was the first thing that came to his mind. No one is perfect and we all blurt things out from time to time. And just so you know...I don't know how old you are...but when I was a teenager and living at home, occasionaly I would wear something my parents didn't approve of and I also was confused and saw nothing wrong with it. They're not doing this to be mean, they have your best interests at heart.

Wow, I can see some people on here love dressing like a slut then...thanks for the thumbs down...At least I have morals!

hi..dad's just freaking out because your growing up.He doesn't see the baby he's used to and he's lashing out because you are "growing"so fast.Sounds like he needs to see the way the "other" girls are dressing. Make him go to a game..or to school one day. Point out to him what you think is a ****.Not in those words but..like..ohh..look.I would never wear that.Let him know where you stand and it will be easier.

Your Dad actually used those words? How awful. I can't imagine a father saying that to his daughter. I can understand him telling you that he thought an outfit was inappropriate and to go change. But for a man to call his child a sl*t says much about his lack of character.

I don't think thats slutty, I wear stuff like that and my mom complains only if its to small and outgrown. sometimes men act like that about clothes just so they can make their wife think they don't try to look at hot girls. mabie that, or its outgrown, or its to cold for the winter and you need to put on something more warm and covering.

Ask your dad exactly what is slutty, either he is confused or he is confusing you. Were you fully covered or was there some skin showing?
