As someone who has crfated many childrens stories, and books, I suggest it's a daunting task, and one I no longer write in.
That doesn't say you should be discouraged at all, but consider than in an average week a publishing house may get 1500 submissions, and may have 3 proof editors.
A passion for writing, especially for children, doesn't promise publishing, sales, and audience, or recognition. The thought behind wanting to write for kids should be one of "relating" to an age group, for the purpose of entertainment, pushing a moral message, educating, or giving even one child, a story they may one day read to their children. Examples number in the thousands.
How to Get started???
Are you currently a "writer"???
Do you feel a connection to kids enough to engage them in anything you offer?
Can you accept rejection and not view it as a personal attack?
Have you attempted "story telling" to groups of children in some sort of test model, to test your ability to capture and/or hold their interest?
Etc.
Think of it this way. Depending on your target audience, and your own thoughts for story lines, KIDS might enjoy being entertained, but that usually starts by being "READ to" and in time they may,or may not attempt reading the book on their own. They are also very intuit as regards a story they cannot relate to at all.
With regard to publishing,,,again, Try submitting agressively to those houses you already know, publish childrens material. Expect a miracle but don't hold your breath. Self publishing, e books, is becoming more a path for writers.
So much I would advise, so little time and space here.

You and thousands more. First you have to put the stories on paper and then either find a manager but that is very difficult if you are not known. or publish the books yourself and be your own manager and go around and sell them to book stores.
Once you get some fame then publishers and managers will take notice of you.
The other way is to know the people that you need to help you.

You have to start by actually writting your childrens book. Then you can look for publisher. you may need to have your book illustrated or edited and you can find a publisher on your own however some publishers will not accept unsolicited manuscripts.

a million. study various of perfect-promoting youngster's books. #2. study the authors of those books. #3. Jot down ideas and artwork tirelessly till you could put up the tale and illustrations to a publishing business corporation. #4. try to be impressive at tale writing and a reliable artist. those are subjective skills, so what some imagine is reliable others gained't.

well first of all you have to write them and then find a publisher by sending them your ideas. then you have to wait for ages and maybe, if you are really really really lucky you find someone who publishes it.
it is easier if you are famous or know a lot of people in the book-industrie.
well, good luck anyway
try not to let them bring you down by the 'you won't have a chance' - it's difficult. but keep up the good work!
