at 18 wks..your baby has got loads of room in there... and would have moved all over the place since then. Now at 30 wks, she has got alot bigger and some babys stay breech right up to the day they arrive (its more common than you think) but nothing to worry about. I personally, couldnt tell from the kicks or movements. I was just contented to get my 10 kicks a day..knowing that she was ok. You have shared this journey with your little baby for 30 wks now ..and when she comes into our world .. the love you will feel for her will overwelm you totally. good luck and stay postive..everything will be fine.

The harder kicks tend to be from the feet.
Its normal for a baby at 18 weeks to be breech. They dont move head down until closer to 28-32 weeks, depending on size and what not.
Mine was sideways unil about 30 weeks. Then he not only turned head down, but he dropped as well... lol.

If the baby is head down, you should be able to feel more movement toward the top of your belly, where the baby kicks most. If you feel more movement down toward your pelvis, the baby might not have turned. But there is still plenty of room in there for the baby to flip. Ask your Dr. the next time you go for an appointment. they can probably tell just by feeling your belly.

at 18 weeks the baby is still moving all over the place.even at 30 weeks theres still enough room for it to move around.some babys dont get in position until right before birth so its still to early to worry!your doc will exam you when you get closer to your due date to make sure and might even do an ultrasound when you go into labor just to make sure

After I was so far along, I could tell the way my baby was laying just by feeling her...you know, by rubbing my hands over my tummy. I knew exactly how she was laying, where her butt was, where arms and legs were, etc.
If you rub the top of your belly and it feels very hard, chances are that s/he is still breach...if it feel somewhat softer, it's probably a little butt you're feeling, so baby has probably flipped. Don't rule out the possibility of baby laying transverse, though (side to side). Just take a good assesment of your belly and you'll probably figure out where and how baby is laying inside.

First of all. Most babies stay breech until closer to labor and delivery. Chances are, when the baby does flip to head down, you won't even be able to feel it. Many times babies can flip at night when mom is sleeping. I wouldn't worry avout the baby flipping this early. They know when it is time to get ready for their debut and chances are they'll flip right on their own.
