I think you should tell him how you feel. If you are too nervous to do it to his face, then maybe write him a cute little note saying how you feel.

maybe somethings are better left unsaid,
I only say that because I had a really good male friend who i fell in love with i knew him since i was 10 yrs old..... I confessed my feelings to him only to have him say nothing i felt so stupid.......this did change our friendship some but we were still pretty close friends,
it wasn't till his mum told me that he was in love with me that it was too late i'd moved on and fallen in love with my current boyfriend who i adore... maybe you should confess your feelings to him then you will have some relief by knowing how he feels about you and telling him how you feel and then you will know if there is any future for the both of you as boyfriend and girlfriend..... All the best sweetie and just know that it is better to know him and be friends than to not know him at all and lose him but if he's really a good friend he'l always be a friend no matter what the circumstances........ If you are uncertain of his response it is best to approach the subject indirectly. Float out the idea that this relationship has been very important to you and see if he feels the same way. If it has, then gently take the conversation a step farther by saying you hope it could grow into something even more.

Love is something that grown mutually between people It is not one-sided. I suspect you are in Lust, a completely different thing. If you value his friendship, and you are not sure of his reaction, then don't tell him. Be there, and if his feelings develop along the same Way, it will be obvious.

well i find it's best if you tell him, and just find out, even tho it could be scary, still, there is so many options like e.g. he could fill the same way, it wont change anything etc.. but if you wont, why not just drops little signs and hints to let him know? i found when i full in love with someone, i always tell them and nothing bad has ever happen to me, so good luck ^_^
