I am supposing it would be a bit like stopping a volcano. Sometimes you just can't throw in the towel, although it may be handy to have, volcanos can be a touch messy.

I think it's something about our psyche.Someone thinks he's strong enough and that's who things begin and after a while it's too hard to stop even if you want.I had a friend who started taking drug and his family tried to help him and sent him away to an foreign clinic and everything and he really wanted to stop but after he came back the dealers found him and everything started again.It was awful and it happens all the time not only with drugs but with a lot other things.It's just stronger than us and it shouldn't be...

i would say it's an addictive process.
some part of our body or brain is dependent.
the body cries out for alcohol, nicotine, sugar, caffeine.
because it has a physical dependency.
