I absolutely agree..............not!!!!!!
How has Egyptian civilization impacted the modern world? Is our legal or political system in the West based on it in any way? Other than as tacky tourist draws in Las Vegas do we see the impact of Egyptian civilization in architecture? Well, surely modern art and literature is modeled on aspects of Egyptian civilization, since it was clearly secon to none, right? And lets not forget religion. Western religion is replete with inferences to an Egyptian influence.
Give me some examples. I'll wait.....................................................
muzak plays...........................................................
none??? I thought not. Egyptian is certainly one of the foundational civilizations, but to say that it is second to none, that's too much to accept.

I think the Egyptian civilizaion baffles us till today, how did they build their Pyramids? Use the Nile water etc. You will find lots of info here:

When we think of the ancient world, we may perhaps think of the Hebrews, Greeks and Romans. The Hebrews gave us faith and morality; Greece gave us reason, philosophy and science; and Rome gave us law and government. This is, of course, a crude oversimplification, and the reason is obvious. Western civilization developed before Greece or Rome. For instance, 3000 years before the greatest era of Greek history, civilizations flourished in Mesopotamia (see Lecture 2) and in Egypt (see Lecture 3). These civilizations were urban, productive, religious and law abiding and in all meanings of the word, civilized. A solid working definition of civilization is difficult and depends upon your own judgment. Here are a few textbook definitions:
Civilization is a form of human culture in which many people live in urban centers, have mastered the art of smelting metals, and have developed a method of writing.
The first civilizations began in cities, which were larger, more populated, and more complex in their political, economic and social structure than Neolithic villages.
One definition of civilization requires that a civilized people have a sense of history -- meaning that the past counts in the present.
and more you will find here:

where you will find Lecture No. 3 that describes the Egyptian civilization

No offense but this sounds like you want us to help do your homework.
Applying your Q to the ancients, I offer my opinion.
I disagree however.
They seemed to rise from nowhere, set themselves up as Godlike, while exploiting million unto their deaths, and eventually faded into relative obscurity.
I'm passionate about ancient cultures, and have been to the Valley of the KINGS, but even there I felt less awe than I have in South America where the parallels are so ironically similar.
Sadly their history, and ROMANCE has been over exploited, creating in modern society a vision of some great race. They were certainly way second to ancient Greece, and or Rome, which, by the way, faded in similar fashion.

I would tend to agree with this proposition. In terms
of national / regional history alone, it is certainly 2nd
to none. Something like - oh, maybe - 35,000 years!
And its list of inventions and accomplishments is also
VERY impressive; including such things as - oh
maybe - BEER!!! ... and .... btw, the first person who
just happens to be the world's first historical individual!
... who just happens to be the world's first historical
prophet ... who just happens to be the Black Pharaoh
of Egypt, the great king Akh-en-Aton ... who was
murdered by those slimey priests and their cronies
just because he wanted to "change things"! ... Yeah,
so is Egyptian civilization second to none? . . . Duhhh
