All good stories have at least one antagonist, be it a villain, cancer, weather, parent, holiday, animal, lawyer, mental illness, child--something "negative" that is the foundation of the plot...if I have ever seen a movie that has no "villain" I wouldn't remember it, because it was not worth remembering.....

It's not a movie exactly, but the 'Dune' miniseries, and sequel 'Children of Dune' movie don't really have a specific villain. It's complicated, but very good. I enjoyed it immensely - very deep characters.
