Not just the Spartans but all Ancient Greeks not only condoned but expected homosexuality of their men. Women were believed to be FAR lower than men, hardly better than objects or other animals, so love between two men was considered purer.

You need to understand how the Spartans viewed homosexuality and that it just wasn't some kind of carnal activitity. Considering what the Spartan man did with his young charge, it was more like a tutor or a mentor program and not some kind of sex fest

Homosexuality is an ancient culture, twice destroyed by the acts of God. Whoever think that homosexuality is a modern culture as the Gay Movements or Cultures are wrong.
A time shell come on all homosexuals when one of them won't wake from bed. We just have to wait, till God's wrath meet with thine words.

yes, you are correct. That is one reason anal sex is called "Greek sex". Spartans would send their young males to live with a warrior to be his apprentice and that was one of the apprentice's duties.

you are correct in thinking that, the reason i say that is because it was in Rome and Greece that was a common thing for a grown man would("teach") the younger man the ways of the bedroom.that's how all that got to be a normal thing.
