Greatness is in ones own mind. But if you are talking about the UN's best places to live based on many social, education, health and financial aspects, no the US would not be ranked 1st in North America.
Here is how the top few countries rank world wide
1 Norway
2 Sweden
3 Canada
4 Belgium
5 Australia
6 United States

Because there are only 2 countries in North America, Canada and the United States and Canada is better than the U.S.

Getting winter fever and snow delusions a bit early this year I see...
If Canada was so great who do so many Canadians come to the US for medical care because their treatment of choice has been denied or the wait is too long.
Canada's much praised, but more often criticized social medicine program is not only a failure, it is paid for by the US. Because the US provides the military coverage for Canada they can spend money that should go to the military on the half-baked medical system.

never. each little thing north of Panama is a factor of the North American continent. lots of this is commonly seen "important usa," yet it quite is in basic terms a theory, no longer a precise continent.

Because Canadians that suffer from Alzheimer's and Dementia and Penis Envy think so ... the only two or three intelligent Canadians that escaped were Dan Akroyd for one the Late John Candy that's it there's the only two!

two words. free healthcare. oh, that and because the quality of life in canada is much higher. the american upper class may be the richest of the richest, but the american middle class is the equivalent in terms of living conditions and quality of life to the canadian lower class. that, and our leader doesnt start wars because he thinks saddam huessein questioned his sexuality.
