i have always been a big simpsons fan butnow the new season came along, and it is nowhere near as funny as the good ole days. who thinks the show should end go another season or just drop?

Well the Simpsons has done everything as it was pointed out in South Park. It's truly difficult to keep a series going and going when it's about random things. Even series with a set beginning and end have trouble going and keeping people interested (I lost interest in Dragon Ball Z a long time ago). A good series should begin with a bang and end with one. Take a look at Full Metal Alchemist it started, went with an interesting plot, ended, then came out with a movie which left us all to wonder what was going to happen to the characters we followed for the 51 episodes we watched. For the Simpsons it's much to late to do that, but maybe the movie can redeem it and then they can cut it off there or maybe make amazing movies from there on... if all else fails they still have the world record for the longest running animated series.

The show is definitely not as funny as it used to be. And they're coming out with the Simpson's movie now. So it seems like fox is trying to milk the series for all its worth with this movie and probably going to end it soon. And i think i also heard in the DVD commentary that they planned to release the movie near the end of the series.

The Simpsons are the Rolling Stones of cartoons. Just when everbody says they're washed up they go on another tour.

I think they should keep doing the simpsons as it is still brilliant although some episodes and seasons aren't as good as others.
Now we have to wait a year till the movie!!!!!!!!!!

I think they need to bow out gracefully. I have tried to watch this season, but it's terrible. Anytime I choose reruns of "Little House on the Prairie" to the Simpsons something's wrong.

It HAS gotten more bizarre, like that Superbowl ep. in which they even say how strange it was at the end (the one w/Vincent Price). But The Simpsons STILL RULES!!! Even when not at its best, it still outdoes anything else.

My husband and my 2 kids love the Simpsons and my kids make sure they watch it at 6pm! If they miss it there gutted.

it may not be as funny as it was back in the day but it is still entertaining and original! i love it sooo much and if it ever ended, a part of me would be lost forever!!!

I think they will drop the simpsons.
for too long its been on, yes a funny show, but people get sick of the easy comedy on it, and with me, I grew up to it - and see many better comedy cartoon shows on.
