I have a 10 mth old son and he's been sleeping thru the nite since forever, but now he wakes up around 5:30am b/c he's hungry and he wants a bottle. He has a bottle already before he goes to bed.
How do I stop this? How can I make him full enough that he doesn't wake up?

Make sure your baby is getting 3 meals of solids per day as well as his formula. Try increasing the amount you feed him per meal of his solids. This will help him go through the night without waking for a feed. At 10 months your baby should be eating a healthy balance of all fruits, vegetables and grains, as well as his formula. When my son was an infant he had rice cereal in all his formula bottles but that did not help him sleep through the nite. What worked for me was keeping him up as late as possible (Especially on the weekends when I did not have to be at work in the morning). I would just stay up late playing with him which makes him so worn out that when he goes to sleep he is so exhausted that he sleeps all night.

Try spoon feeding him infant cereal right before he goes down for the night. Start out making it kinda thin until he learns to eat it well.

This is a common problem. Give him a breakfast type supper before he goes to bed i.e. Toast, porridge or weetabix and that should help. Don't put anything in his bottle this could cause him to choke!

add a small amount of rice cerial to his bottle(you'll need to cut a bigger hole in the nipple), even baby oatmeal if he gets constipated off the rice cerial. At this age they should be getting more solid foods introduced into their diet. Good luck!

Maybe try the cereal thing before bed. It may make him full longer.
