I asked my doctor the same question and he said It was fine as long as the food was cooked. He also said that it was fine to consume once a week.

You should check with your Dr. about this one because there are answers on here saying yes as long as it's cooked properly well, that is true but, I had heard that you should limit yourself to only a certain amount of shell fish and tuna a month while being pregnant especially Albacore tuna. There are high amounts of mercury in tuna and other fish so you can only have like 6 oz. a week or so. If you check out Web M.D. you'll find out more information on it. Not saying that you cannot eat it because you can you just have to watch the amount.

Almost all fish and shellfish contain small amounts of mercury, but you can safely eat those with consistently low mercury levels (like salmon, shrimp, clams, and tilapia). Talk with your doctor if you have any questions about how much — and which fish — you can eat.

As long as you are not allergic, and the shrimp is cooked well, go for it.
