how hold is the car? with a vectra it needs a service every six month and keep up to it if not you will have problems unless its the old one dont know about that mine is a 66 reg

could be an electrical fault . you will need to get the on board computer read by qualified mechanic ! ( they charge around £25 and come to your home ) could possibly be your coil pack !
but you will not know till you have called someone to read the computer in the car !!!
