I have a boy and a girl and I could not choose between them. But since your asking a hypothetical question, I would choose a boy to carry on my name, since I am an only child and the last in the line with my name.

A girl....because I have 2 lovely daughters who are great and would like to stick with what I know.
Plus I've never even changed a baby boy's diaper in my life.

my wife and i do have just one child, a boy. we wanted a boy for the simple reason of carrying on my surname after i die. we would have loved to have had a girl after our son was born, but mother nature was not cooperative. our son is 24; a very bright, righteous man. he makes us proud!

a boy because they will cost me less money and it won't be all down to me to help put christmas lights up lol or do the electric stuff and heavy lifting
