Banks are a neccessary evil.

My Grandmother told me never trust a lawyer, or a banker. And she was right.

Banks... in their general form are a necessary part of the current civilized culture. I think you may have confused banks and their role in our society with the actions of those who run them.

Banks provide the necessary services of storing, transeferring, investing and lending of money.

Your statement about the them buying and selling businesses is not about the function of a 'bank' as it is about the actions of the individuals who run a particular bank.

Don't blame the banking system as a whole for the actions of a few. Another thing to consider is the when an investment group 'purchases' a business, that business was sold to them by the owner of that business. The owner knew full well when they sold the business that their were selling to an 'investment group' who viewed the business as just that, an investment, not as an entity of people and families.

Therefore, if your looking to place blame for the types of actions you speak of, place it where it belongs, on the Business Owners and the PEOPLE who make the decisions for the bank.

Hope this answers the question

I hate banks! I worked for one for over 4 years and all they are concerned about are sales, targets, cross selling and making as much money as possible. The values of the high street bank and even the bulding societies have changed. They are no longer a support system but more like an indutsry that creates a stigma about the benfits of financial services! rubbish! xxx

nowadays, probably the latter. apart from savings accounts, having a bank account unfortunately is the one and only choice we have. but some of the charges that banks make is at times ludicrous. i understand that the staff needs to have their wages paid- yet for them to be paid by charging customers to withdraw their own cash is a utter rip-off. ideally, we would be better if all of us had our own trust fund- something similar to a bank account perhaps. probably there will be less hassle and bother because of it. these days, most banks couldn't give a monkey's about their customers. in an ideal world, it would be possible for banks to be non-existent because the majority of people are totally dissatisfied with them, anyway

Seeing as often bigots have spoke back to this, you may argue with racial equality. in basic terms some many years in the past, interracial couples weren't allowed to marry. even although i'm no longer in an interracial relationship, I nonetheless believe that they could have the potential to marry. It advantages society by making use of permitting tolerance. many human beings don't comprehend that there are human beings of their relatives that are gay, or that there are provider contributors who combat for the bigots freedom to assert insupportable issues who're gay. bare bones, it quite is comparable to permitting women to vote, blacks and whites to marry, blacks to vote, women to make an analogous revenue as a guy, and blacks to do each little thing a white guy or lady can. Why could somebody who does no longer harm every physique or ask for something different than equality be refrained from and constrained? Gays do no longer ask to be positioned on a pedestal, in basic terms for equality, very comparable to Martin Luther King Jr. did on August twenty 8th, 1963.

I used to think in my naivety that banks performed a useful service.
I have come to realise that their one and only concern is to make money hand over fist and the more the merrier.

A bank is a shop that sells you money. Trouble is, they have a much higher opinion of themselves than can be justified by their actual function. Load of bankers!
