Unfortanetly Kimi's style, although similar to Michael's, is very violent. Quite often the mechanical failures he's had it is because he's has pushed the car beyond it's limit.
If you look at a head2head comparrison of Kimi and Fernando you can see that Fernando has -overall- done better than the Finn even Kimi has had is usually been declared the 'better' of the two.
In the end it depends on the two team structers I'm betting.

I am not sure that Ferrari are able to maintain this late season's form. With Schumacher and Ross Brawn gone, and also a big part of the staff leaving, there will remain a power vacuum in the team and between the drivers, which Massa and Raikkonen will fight over. And the last time 2 Ferrari drivers fought each other, the year ended in disaster.
Plus the fact that Raikkonen raced competitively only 23 times before entering F1 didn't supply him with a feel for machinery as developed as the one that great champions of the last 20 years, like Prost, Senna, Schumacher and Alonso, possess or possessed. In 2002, Kimi's first year with McLaren, he blew 7 engines in race conditions, while team-mate David Coulthard's engines died out with a lot of smoke only 4 times.
I don't think Ferrari will have a chance next year, the drivers will be too busy fighting over the place that MS left behind.

Very true. Kimi has had a lot of bad luck, more to do with the car than his abilities or driving.
Ferrari did prove themselves strong, with the tyre rule removed this season. But considering that it will be a one tyre supplier season, things could be different for all teams. I think Ferrari may have an upper-hand with car specs, and hence, should be able to give Kimi and Felipe a really competitive car. Since Felipe has had a year in the team and the oppurtunity to drive with one of the best (Michael), I think he will really have a significant edge.
I think Alonso may suffer since McLaren is still in woes.
Definitely Kimi's shot for the championship, now that team orders are history in Ferrari.

Not only bad luck. I think that Kimi needs to grow further to win a championship with Ferrari if the car has similar characteristics than the others.
On the other side I believe that Felipe Massa may be stronger than Kimi. He looks very self confident and one year passed with Schumacher can be an advantage

Raikkonen's problem isn't "luck". His problem is he drives the way he lives. Raikkonen is a known drunk, drinking until he pukes and carousing at all hours.
He drives cars into the ground the same way he drives his body into the ground. If he doesn't wake up and grow up, someday he'll either get himself killed off the track or, worse still, get himself and someone else killed on the track.
Raikkonen will be lucky to score 50 points next year and Ferrari will be lucky to finish fourth in the constructor's race without Ross Brawn.
Expect Alonso to win a third title running. Like Alain Prost, Alonso knows how to manage the car, driving hard only when necessary but able to outdrive anyone when he has to. With the same McLaren that Raikkonen had, Alonso would still have won a world title.

I think Ferrari will offer a decent race winning car for Kimi. Whether he will win a championship this year is another story. I don't know if Kimi knows how to handle winning more than one race without a DNF in the next. It won't be this year, maybe next. I got my money on Massa for the win.

Ferrari will nearly always give You a championship winning car but the question is can kimi provide them with the championship. My guess is that Massa will step up and outclass kimi next season

I don't believe Kimi has bad luck. The team has failed to deliver that goods, and no matter how good the driver is, if the whole package is not 100%, you will not be a world champion.
If Ferrari can deliver a competative reliable package, then he now doubt will be a multiple world champion.
Do you remember how he nearly pulled it off a few years back when the MC-MBZ package was crap, like when MS nearly did it in 98, although Mika had a superior package?

I hope this isn't the case, 2 championship contenders rarely work well together in a team, Alonso- Hamilton Raikkonen- Montoya Prost- Mansel Prost- Senna N. piquet- Mansel G. Villneuve- Pirioni....etc, they often end up causing heartache, limit development and knock points off each other, limiting constructors championship and drivers champ possibilities. Not a good idea for Alonso, Ferrari and F1 in general.

I thik Ferrari may still have the best car next year, even with their internal upheavals. The problem is that Massa won't sit back and let Kimi be number1, in fact they'll probably not be speaking by Silverstone...
