I know a lady right now who consistently goes 10-15 MPH over the speed limit on our base. She doesn't use blinkers either which just adds to the irritating factor. I've thought about reporting her to teach her a lesson, since apparently PMO won't, but I don't have the time to schlep my kids to military traffic court. Anyway, what makes her better than the rest of us? The blue sticker? Puh-lease.

Hey spag - idiot!! I run into this car often when I take my children to school. She does this while 1st graders are on the side of the road with their bikes. That's why I'm upset.
I was a Marine and one thing Marines know for sure is you NEVER speed on base or you will have you a55 handed to you, a.k.a. driver's license suspended for 30 days on the first offence.

I was one of the first females to graduate from security forces school and then work at 8th & I and the Navy Yard back in 1995. Admirals' wives are the worst I've ever seen. They just love to be saluted.
Oh and as far as generalization - If you've never been active duty then you have no idea. Officers who get pulled over for speeding n e v e r get a ticket. They are let go. They are only pulled over in the first place because the MPs can't tell they are officers from the back of the vehicle.

Because they are using their husbands name and rank. I think this is a common problem no matter the base or branch. She is not better than the rest, she just seems to think she is, write a letter to your base paper sometimes they will print it, just be sure to not use names. Just point out the fact that you have seen traffic violations numerous times, and because of the rank of the spouse the perpetrator gets nothing done to them. Maybe then it will come to someones attention.

Hey boy relax he is pissed off with you go near her showing her no harm make her feel comfortable and go near her keep your ego aside she is your wife after all kneel before her present her a flower a single flower and ask her to meet you out some where not into the house as she feels congested there.. Meet her in some coffee shop or in a garden.. When you meet her caress her hairs making her feel you are concerned for her.. but firstly try admitting your mistakes in your heart that your actions have badly hurted her..Present her a nice dress and forget about all that she didnt bathed since more than a week or her clothes are not washed just hug her and make her yours..its only your love and care that can bring her back to you.. take care of her and yours too.. all the best!!

We had this problem on a base I was stationed at, and it made it all the way to the I.G. They held a meeting with all the officer's wives and at the meeting, asked them to line up in the room according to rank. Immediately a Colonel's wife jumped to the head of the line. When they had all lined up, the person holding the meeting told them they were ALL wrong. They should have stayed seated because NO ONE in that room had rank. Their husbands did. Problem solved.

If you're new to the military lifestyle, then welcome. Get used to seeing officers and their wives do whatever the hell they want. It's ridiculous. I've had to deal with many of them (officer's wife), and it's rare to find one that is nice. The wives of Colonel's and above are usually the worst people to deal with, in my experience. They seem to think that because they're married to rank, that gives them rank. A friend of mine got hit by a captain's wife while backing out of a parking spot a while ago. She was threatening to sue him! It was totally her fault! So arrogant...

If its not worth the trouble to try to stop something that bothers you then it is pointless to complain about it. That's a big problem in today's world, so many people gripe about problems, but so few want to do anything to change them.
If you feel it is dangerous then put some effort into it. Don't wait for someone else.

Because they think that their husband's rank will prevent them from getting ticketed by the MPs. (And their husbands know better than to make a fuss when their wife gets a ticket.)
Just ignore her. One of these days she will do something in front of an MP and discover just how unimpressed they are by her husband's rank.
PS - it also sounds like you need to get a life.

Just because you know a lady that happened to be an officer's wife that doesn't make them all like that. Generalizing is no good and is unfair, please be more humane and fair. In all ranks you will find good, fair and bad. Good luck.
