Yes, you will definitely be able to burn cdrw. However if you have a little extra cash to spare, i suggest you get a dvd burner combo. With that you can also burn dvd as well. Dvd offer a larger storage space 4.7Gb for 1 sided and 8+ Gb for 2 doublesided. While a normal cd-rw will only store 750mb of data. That means the cdrw can store only about 1/5 of a single sided dvd disc. Plus the new blu-ray disc is already out which can store a lot more information. Thus i suggest to buy the dvd-combo burner as the cdrw writer will soon phase out.Hope this help you =)

Not necessarily true. Most CD-RW drives can read DVDs, it should say on the tray door, but DVD drives are about 30 bucks, you can always add one if you want depending on how many 5 1/4 bays you have available.

u should avoid to buy a computer with cd rw because now dvd rw ar coming in very less price. cd rw can only burn cd but not dvd, if u dont like to buy a dvd rw then u can buy a combo drive

u would definitely be able to burn CDs with it provided you have the s/w for that installed on the computer

You not only can't write DVDs with that, you can't read them either. You should at least get the DVD/CDRW combo.
