This is so backwards, but she doesn't want anything too serious (or so she says, at least not yet) b/c she figures I am too good for her. Now I know what you all think, and I have thought the same thing, but I am now convinced she is the first persin to ever say that and mean it. I am as sure as I can be. So, any suggestions for getting her over this? It's ridiculous, really, but I want her to realize how much I want HER w/out overdoing it. How do I convince/help her let go of this BS idea she has?

Are you in love with her? It sounds like time and your continual acceptance and love are the only things that will help her realize what you what. When someone is that insecure, there really isn't much you can say to magically make her feel better.

Just be straight up, no BS...get her something that'll change the kind of thinking she has. Try to get her something that will have her feel that her self-esteem is at the same level as yours where both party's are happy -with- each other. Just go for broke and spend alot on her , saying that your "want"her, Show her, prove it and/OR even buy the gifts that will put a smile on herpretty face.

Good luck to you. This is a tough one. It sounds like she is either mixed up or trying to let you off easy. you could simply back off and give her some time or Let her know how you feel and see if you can get a straight answer out of her. See why she thinks you are too good for her--she may have done something at some point in her life that makes her think she is not good enough. If so, let her know that the past is the past and you want to look forward to the future. Again GOOD LUCK and I hope this works out for you.

She obviously has self-esteem issues from her past. Reinforce her self-esteem (not that you WANT her). Tell her how smart she is. Tell her why is a good leader among your peers. Tell her how great those new shoes look. Reinforce it over time, daily through affirmations. Don't overdo it. Continue to praise her (but not effusively).

She obviously lacks self-esteem. The only thing that will help that is time, and letting her see how you feel. It sounds like she's been hurt before, and has a problem trusting. Be persistant, but not overbearing. She won't believe your words, but she will believe your actions. SHOW her.

It is so obvious from the onset that you are most definately NOT the person for her, if you are already sayng at the start of your relationship that her ideas and thoughts are BS.

~She is probably afraid she'll get hurt, since she's so convinced you couldn't possibly care for her.
Keep reminding her and showing her that you mean what you say every day and eventually she'll believe you.
Good luck.~
