Sausage, Bacon, Eggs (Fried, Boiled, Poached or Scrambled), Black Pudding, Mushrooms, Fried Tomatoes (or Beans) and Fried Bread. And possibly bubble and squeak.

A proper English breakfast would never be served with Chips (that makes it an all-day breakfast) or Hash Browns

It must be served with a cup of tea - otherwise is not a proper 'English' breakfast.

The best cure for a hangover on the planet.

copious cups of tea or coffee, a glass of fresh orange juice.

fried or scrambled eggs, mushrooms, beans or cooked tomatoes, toast or fried bread, sausages, bacon, black pudding, sauteed potatoes.

Most places will offer chips or hash browns now as an alternate to the sauteed potatoes. Some people add tomato ketchup or brown sauce.

mmmmmm go on.....have some!

(Other English breakfasts include kedgeree, porridge, kippers, bubble and squeak or toast and jam/maramlade. Though I think most people have cereal these days.)

Traditional 'English' breakfast is cereal or porridge followed by a 'cooked breakfast' - eggs and bacon with some combination of tomatoes, fried mushrooms, sausage, fried bread/toast, etc, washed down with tea, and followed by toast & marmelade.n Regional variations include black pudding, lava bread, kippers, etc

This is in contrast to the 'Continental' breakfast of coffee, crossaint and maybe some cheese...

These days most British households don't have the traditional breakfast at home - although it's popular in cafes and hotels. In the latter case it now often includes pastries, orange juice and yoghurt - not part of the traditional English breakfast!

Kidneys! everyone's left out the kidneys!!! Fresh lamb kidney lightly sauted. And lots of butter with the toast and certainly NO CHIPS you can fry up sliced boiled potatos from the night before, and thick cut marmalde on some of the toast if you still have a corner to fill up after that lot
