I'm planning a Vancouver-California-Hawaiian cruise honeymooon. When in Calif, I was thinking of:
- San Francisco (city and alcatraz)
- Las Vegas (strip)
- Los Angeles (Hollywood, Theme Parks, Water park, Sea world San Diego)

Due to financial reasons, I have to drop one of the above places. Which would you suggest dropping?

Since I drive like in UK (left hand side), I am afraid to drive in Calif. Is transport between cities and within cities a good choice? safe too?

Yes I will add:

I am from malta and tehrefore not a US citizen. In Malta we drive on the left hand side.
I will be departing from Malta to Vancouver, then Vancouver to Las Vegas, Las Vegas to LA, LA to San Diego, San Diego to Hawaii (cruise) and then stop at San Francisco for 3 nights before returning back to Malta.

Which place shall I omit? San Francisco planning city visit and Alcatraz, Las Vegas planning to see strip, Laos Angeles (theme parks and water parks), San Diego planning to see sea world.

please sugest

Hmmm...well, I've lived in San Diego, Los Angeles, and San Jose (just south of San Francisco) and visited San Francisco and Las Vegas....I'd cut L.A. Could San Diego be an option? I personally like San Francisco and San Diego the best as vacation destinations. Vegas is fun, but rather out of your way...it's a pretty far drive even from L.A. (about 4-5 hours), and maybe more fun for singles and those who enjoy betting than newlyweds. Not really what I think of when I think of honeymoon activities. There are more couple-type things to do in SF and SD.

So, to summarize, I'd cut Las Vegas or Los Angeles and go to San Francisco and San Diego. Have a fun honeymoon!

If I were you I would want to see more sights then amusment parks. Unless you are both down with groups of people and noise instead of more alone time sight seeing together. San fran is beautiful. For driving I would research what you plan to do and check the trolley's in San Fran or buses...even that buses take long time to get here and there. Or a taxi if you have alot to do in one area. That is a great way to save money. I can really say that Hawaii is were you can really have a romatic time with each other. If you can check out Kauai...It's is the best and sweetest Island in the chain, I reside on Oahu and I go to Kauai to get away from it all. The canyon, waterfalls, and really easy to get around.

Well, Las Vegas is not on a cruise schedule. You have to travel several hours east out of LA to get to Las Vegas. Monterey & Carmel by the Sea are just two hours south of SanFrancisco and are very nice. Mendocino is about two hours north of San Francisco and is supposed to be nice along the coastline there.
