Notepad is bundeled with WIndows OS. Copy notepad.exe from another PC and copy it to \Windows\system32\notepad.exe in your PC. Double click notepad.exe and it will work.

Firstly, you can search on google for downloading Notepad or you can install it from any of the Windows CD (i.e. XP, 98, ME, 2000, etc.)

It comes bundled with Windows. If you want to download a text editor, I'd recommend downloading something better anyways!
